Santa and God

More on this later after my Exegesis of Joshua 24:19-24 is finished, but consider this:

Why is it more comfortable for our culture to teach our children to believe in:

That Christmas is about a fat, jolly, bearded, old, white guy sneaking into your house while you sleep to deliver presents while he has reindeer waiting on the roof to carry him to the next house....

vs.

That Christmas is about the birth of the saviour of all humankind, in all places, in all times, God incarnate...who would later defeat death so that we might have the opportunity for salvation

It's the presents. Yet, what people don't realize is that Jesus gives us the greatest gift in dying for our sins so that we may have a relationship with our Father in Heaven.

Good question, Brian.
Is your exegesis finished?
